Who can hunt here

WMAs and other public hunting areas each have their own rules, quotas and dates: check the area's KDFWR page (linked on the map). Much of the land in eastern Kentucky is company land opened through yearly agreements with KDFWR; the elk regulated tracts are open only to hunters drawn for an elk tag in that unit, who sign up for a tract. In the coalfield some tree loss is mining or haul roads rather than logging: permitted surface mines are left out.
