Deer, moose and black bear open seasons by WMU from the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary (resident and non-resident). Controlled hunts, tag quotas and draws, and the notes on footnoted units are in the summary. General seasons for the game management units in this area; special permits, controlled hunts, raffles and damage hunts aren't listed. Rules can change during the season: check Ontario MNR's regulations and emergency rules before you go.

Who can hunt here

Most of central and northern Ontario is Crown land, and Ontario residents with the right licence and tags can hunt it. Southern Ontario is mostly private: you need the owner's permission. Hunting is allowed in some provincial parks and most conservation reserves; Crown game preserves are closed to hunting. Non-residents have their own licence and Crown land rules. The green land is MNR's unpatented Crown land: it isn't a legal survey, and leases, mining claims and local closures aren't shown.
